Baby Barto: Week 18

{ in the morning before leaving for Paris for work. }

me at week 18: Again… no complaints! My bump is still pretty tiny. I feel our little chiquita move more frequently. This week, I felt him/her kick pretty definitively. Michael felt one or two kicks during the couple of days after he got home from hunting and before I left for Paris.

I’m itching to start on things like daycare research, nursery decorating, etc, but life has been pretty busy. Work, travel, kitchen design decisions and car shopping are dominating the brain cells. Daycare research is starting to happen in earnest, though, since things start to fill up fast!

Baby Barto at week 18: She is now about 5 1/2 inches long, like a bell pepper. He’s busy flexing his arms and legs (see above!). His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they’re still standing out from his head a bit. If she’s a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If he’s a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.
